Kougias resigned from Corinth: “They took advantage of my name and my money”

After what happened today and due to personal disagreements with the other members of the Board of Directors – which preceded today’s match – I irrevocably declare that I cease to be involved in any way with the association of PAS Corinth, which with my presence put Corinthia back on the football map and I am happy because I managed to bring 6000 people to the stadium.

Unfortunately, the rest of the board members, apart from Mr. Papagiannopoulos, who is a pure and selfless person, all they are interested in is their political and financial benefits from the Municipality of Corinth.

I have the worst impressions of George Pietris. In these 2 years I spent more than 300,000 euros to rebuild this club and I don’t regret it at all but I can’t be subordinate to anyone to get financial and political benefits.

I loved the team and its fans very much but unfortunately in this dirty environment of the organized crime of football I can have no future if the same board members are not with me as a fist.

Unfortunately all of them took advantage of my name and my money but all they were interested in was their personal gain and not the interest of the team.

I don’t want to believe that today they didn’t react to these wild things that the arbitration did against us because from now on they were thinking about the 550,000 that would be needed in the summer to introduce a PAE.

It goes without saying that my football life is now identified with Olympiakos and I didn’t resign as soon as I assumed the position of Vice President and legal advisor.
