by

Clearly disappointed with the turn it took for both him and Mercedes Australian Grand Prixwas the Lewis Hamilton after the end of the match.

The seven-time world champion could not finish, since quit in the 17th round due to power unit failure, with his stablemate George Russell having an accident just before the finale and also retiring.

The 39-year-old pilot of the German team, spoke to the media after the end of the GP in Albert Park, giving reasons for the worst start to a season in his multi-year career. And this is because, in the first three races of the year, he has one 7th place, one 9th and one abandonment, staying in 10th place in the drivers’ standings with just eight points.

“It’s the worst start to a season I’ve ever had. It’s worse than 2009”the Brit first reported to add that:

“It’s tough on the psychology, on everyone in the team when so much work has been done over the winter. You go in excited, motivated, with the mindset that you’re going to fight for wins, and that’s not the case. Then you think “Okay, maybe I’ll go for second or third” and that’s not the case either and it goes even lower. It’s challenging. I continue to be inspired by the people I have worked with and continue to strive. That’s the most important thing.”
