The dream for the National Team evolved into nightmare in Tbilisi. The representative group was defeated on penalties by Georgia and suffered a painful elimination from the Euros in Germany, losing a unrepeatable opportunity to be in a major event after a decade.

Unfortunately, another generation of Greek footballers will see a major tournament on television, an event which, if nothing else, has caused great distress in the ranks of the group. It is characteristic that yesterday (26/03), after the end of the match, the players were locked in the dressing room and crying, they couldn’t believe what happened to “Boris Payhandze”.
