Cup Final Four: It’s time for the second men’s volleyball title

by

Panathinaikos A.O. – A.O.N.S. Milos (17:00, ERT3)

For the first time in their history, Panathinaikos and Milos will face each other in the Men’s Volleyball Cup semi-final.

The “greens”, who have already qualified for the finals of the championship against Olympiakos and the League Cup against PAOK, are looking for their return to the final of the Cup after 14 years, as the last time they succeeded was in 2010, when they celebrated and for the last time winning the trophy.

On the contrary, Neosmyrniotes, in their third participation in the Cup Final-4, are looking for their first appearance in a final, as well as their first title, having a third different opponent against them. In 2008, they faced EA Patrons in Orestiada, Olympiakos last year in Kalamata and Panathinaikos this year.

Panathinaikos, however, is the only team that remains undefeated in this year’s matches with Milos in the domestic competitions.

Olympiacos S.F.P. – P.A.O.K. (20:15, ERT3)

Last year’s Kalamata final pair face each other in the second semi-final of this year’s Final-4 of the Men’s Volleyball Cup in Larissa.

“Red and white” and “black and white” have been the traditional pair of the institution in the last decade, as since 2014 (with the interruption in the two years 2020-2021 due to Covid) they have met in two finals (2015 Syros, 2023 Kalamata) and with tomorrow in seven semi-finals.

The “red and white” were the winners in the first three semi-finals (2014 Kalamata, 2016 Glyfada, 2017 Thessaloniki) and PAOK in the next three (2018 Rhodes, 2019 Ierapetra, 2022 Glyfada), while they have celebrated victory in both finals between them .

The “red and whites” prevailed in both men’s Volley League matches this year and want to celebrate their first Cup after 2017, with PAOK, however, being the winner of this year’s Super Cup and counting four consecutive conquests in the institution.
