The match
Better start from Kolossos, who after 2-7 in the first three minutes, went to +8 (5-13), in 6′. Aris reacted and reduced (11-15), with the Rhodians responding with a 4-0 run until the end of the first period, closing it with +8 (11-19).
With Hatzinikola’s basket and foul, the guests escaped to +11 (11-22) at the beginning of the second quarter. Kastritis’ team immediately picked up the pace and ran individual scores 11-2, bringing the match to the basket (22-24), at 15′. However, thanks to Perantes and Papadakis, Kolossos did not lose its lead and went to the locker room with a score of 32-34.
Harel’s three-pointer put Aris in front (35-34), with Brajkovic answering for Kolossos’ lead (37-40), at 23′. Toliopoulos brought a new tie to the match (40-40), with the two teams keeping pace (44-44) until the 25th minute. With a mini outburst by Koloveros, the Rhodians went to +7 (45-52), in the 28th minute. However, in the last two minutes, the “yellows” responded with Galinat and Stark, reducing the difference to a point (53-54), at the end of the third period.
Without a good rhythm and quite hard, the game was in the first minutes of the fourth period, with the score tied (57-57), until the 35th minute. There, Kolossos reacted with Billy and Brajkovic, going to +6 (58-64), in the 38th minute. Stark temporarily reduced, with Gaudlock’s three-pointer sending the guests to +7 (60-67) and after successive missed attacks by the home team, Perantes with 2/2 shots made the final 60-69.
