Wheelchair Tennis: “Diaforozo” Sports Association for Disabled People is triumphant

In both men’s singles and men’s doubles, the Greek championship was won by the Disabled Sports Association “Diaforozo”.

In a three-day event, from Friday (19/4) to Sunday (21/4), full of action, at the amazing facilities of the Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy hotel, in the Crete Peninsula, the spectacle offered by the tennis players was of a high standard.

Under the watchful eye of the president of the Federation, Ioanna Karyofyllis, in the men’s singles, the championship was won by Giorgos Lazaridis, with Epaminondas Stamatis second and Antonis Stefanouris in third place, who defeated Nikos Gasteratos of Panathinaikos AmaA.

In doubles, Lazaridis with partner Konstantinos Dialektopoulos, of the Diaforozo club, were first with 4 wins, in 2nd place were Emmanuel Haloulos-Antonis Stefanouris, also of “Diaforozo” with 3 wins and one loss, and in 3rd place the couple Asteris Giannoudis- Stefanos Babis, of Ifaistos Patras, with 1 win and 3 losses, but a better point difference than the rest.
