Grigoriou: “I’m leaving with mixed feelings – I don’t regret working for PAS”

by

Past from the bench of PAS Ioannina is since yesterday (21/04) o Michalis Grigoriouwho submitted his resignation and it was accepted.

The Greek technician spoke to Metropolis and stated how he didn’t regret it who took over the team, while he went on to say that he is leaving with mixed feelings.

“We could be better, but in terms of health, everything is fine. I leave with mixed feelings because I joined a historic team. The people were by our side until the last moment. I don’t regret working for PAS, regardless of the outcome and circumstances. I would say that I count them among my positive experiences.

The teams are built, formed and organized since the summer. And the president at the press conference said that mistakes were made and there were many. It does not mean that all mistakes can be corrected and PAS Ioannina was among those that cannot be corrected. But it’s still an experience that will help me.”

For yesterday’s G. Karaiskakis derby where Olympiacos prevailed 2-1 over PAOK:
“Olympiacos had a fair victory, but the course of PAOK also plays a role, which came from inversely similar psychologies. Olympiacos made a huge qualification, while PAOK, after an excellent European year, was eliminated. This is still a sad fact. Also, the games were very close and the psychology is what goes through when there are about 72 hours in between.”

For the battle of the championship: “PAOK will have time to recover and will recover, that is a given in the battle of the championship. I predicted that it will be the most competitive league, because I predict that all 4 will contend and this is confirmed to this day. We are seeing something that I don’t know if we will see again in Greek football.

I will not give favorites because the games are so close, they are judged in details and no one can predict how each game will develop. We had seen Panathinaikos return to the battle of the Championship, Olympiacos 2 months ago was not even in the squad and now it is claiming it, and of course there are also the direct contenders, PAOK and AEK. Everything is changing at cinematic speed, so I won’t say that AEK is the favorite because they still have a lot of interesting games. All scenarios are open!”
