Moron: “I’m happy at Aris – I have one year left on my contract, we’ll see what happens”

Last summer, Mr Lorraine Moron decided to compete for the first time away from Spain, coming to Greece on his own behalf Mars.

For his first experience abroad: “Yes, to be honest, when I decided to come I was afraid to leave Spain. But with all the colleagues here, who speak Spanish, everything was easier, so I’m happy. I have another year of contract and we’ll see what happens.”

His adaptation to life in Greece: “I had no problem, because Thessaloniki is also very similar to Seville, there is even a tower, there is life on the street, people are very open and the language is OK, almost 90% speak English. I have a lot of support from my teammates, there are a lot of Latinos, who speak Spanish.”

On whether he watches Betis from Greece: “Yes, they’re the only team I follow, I’m a bit disconnected from LaLiga, but every time I can watch Betis, they’re the only one I follow.”



For the most memorable Spanish derbies: “When you can score in a derby it’s always nice, I was able to do it in two, at home. We didn’t win, we drew. The first one certified our qualification for Europe after a long time, so I’ll keep that.”

For the Aris-PAOK derby in Greece: “Yes, I don’t experience the same here, but in the game, especially the first time, with a crowd in our opponent’s stadium, I didn’t know where I was going. This season they haven’t managed to beat us in three games and we’re happy about that.”
