Kostas Christofidelis will be on the Kifissia bench for two more years. The northern suburbs club announced on Thursday the renewal of their partnership with the Greek coach until 2026 after successfully leading the team to the men’s volleyball Challege Cup for the second year in a row by finishing fifth in the Volley League.
In detail, the announcement:
“Kifissia Volleyball Sports Club announces the renewal of its cooperation with coach Kostas Christofidelis for two more years. Thus, the successful technician will be on the ‘blue and white’ bench until 2026, with the team’s management recognizing his work.
In the season that ended, Kostas Christofidelis led Kifissia for the second year in a row to fifth place in the men’s Volley League, which secured them participation in a European competition, specifically the Challenge Cup.
On the occasion of the renewal of his cooperation with Kifissia, Kostas Christofidelis said: “The management of Kifissia showed their trust in me, renewing our cooperation for another two years. Being at the ‘helm’ of Kifissia in the coming years is something that I also wanted and I am happy that we continue together. We are certainly setting the bar higher for the new season.
After two quite difficult years we have now acquired the foundations to do so. Of course, in order to achieve this, in addition to the competitive advantage, the administration will also need to continue its efforts to increase the budget, as well as further improvement in matters of organization. Certainly, we expect a very competitive championship and every game, every set will be important for the final ranking. I am a person who likes to work a lot.
I want us to present a team with cohesion, a clear game plan and quality in their game. Above all, however, I want us to be healthy in order to claim our goals both in Greece and in the Challenge Cup. Europe is a big challenge and we want to do something more in the new year. It is a huge experience for Kifissia to participate in a European event”.
