We refer to your letter of 28 January 2022 in response to the letter, which was sent by FIFA and UEFA on 23 December 2021. In addition, we confirm the fact that the new Statute of the EPO has already been approved by the competent court and, therefore, has entered into force immediately.
Regarding the proposed timeframes set for the implementation of the other recommendations, FIFA and UEFA would like to draw your attention to the following which should be reviewed and adjusted due to the current situation of the EPO:
• The appointment of Executive Director (CEO) will not take place before the election of the new President of the EPO. The newly elected president should nominate the nominee, and the selection should be based on an open and international competitive process. A similar procedure should be followed for the appointment of the Deputy Executive Director as well as the Technical Director as the above three executives will be the closest administrative associates of the President.
• The strategic plan of the Federation should not be approved by the Executive Committee before the election of the new President, as it should reflect his vision for the development of the Hellenic Football Federation and Greek Football.
