The die was -finally- cast!
As expected, “lock” final date of the Bettson Cup, with the EPO announcing that the match between Panathinaikos and Aris will be held on Panthessaliko, on Saturday, May 25, at 8:30 p.m.
As a reminder, the federation had requested permission from UEFA to hold the game, as the Women’s Champions League final is scheduled on the same day and the European federation does not want its own finals to coincide with those of the member federations.
Despite all this, and given that there are other finals in Europe on the same day, UEFA gave the green light, bypassing the specific issue and the match of Panthessalikos (which according to the existing data will be held in camera) was definitively set for 25/05.
The EPO announcement:
On Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 20:30 at the Panthessal Stadium of Volos, the Final of the Betsson Greek Cup will be held, Panathinaikos-Aris. The decision was taken today by the Emergency Committee of the Hellenic Football Federation, which ratified the relevant decision of the Organizing Committee of the EPO.
The decision was made in consultation with Cosmote which is the television provider of the competition and Super League 1 for the completion of the league playoffs.
Also, international competition schedules and the holding of the UEFA Europa Conference League final on May 29 in Athens were taken into account.
