It’s official: Sasha Ilitch is past the Fearless

The definitive end to his presence Sasha Ilyich Atromitos announced on the team’s bench!

The Peristeri team, with a long announcement, formalized the “divorce” with the Serbian coach, who is moving immediately to Russia after a big proposal from Nizhny which he practically could not deny, as it was unreal.

In fact, since there is no score at stake ahead of the final matchday of the Stoiximan Super League playouts, Atromitos gave his consent in order for Ilic’s agreement with the Russian team to go ahead.

Illich took over The Fearless October 2023 and through a statement on the team’s official website, he said goodbye to the fans and thanked the club.

PAE Atromitos announces the completion of its cooperation with Sasha Ilic and his assistants, Velicko Kaplanovic and Darko Obradovic, as they will continue their careers in a Russian team.

Sasha Ilic took over Atromitos in October 2023 in a difficult competitive situation for our team and managed in 29 matches to record 10 wins, 11 draws and 8 losses while leading Atromitos to important victories against the traditional powers of Greek football in the league and Cup.

The entire family of Atromitos now considers him a friend of the team and wishes him every success in his next professional step.

After completing his collaboration with Atromitos, Sasha Ilic also made statements to atromitosfc.gr:

“I would like from the bottom of my heart, me and my immediate assistants, to thank Atromitos for the opportunity he gave us to come to Greece and to this excellent club about six months ago. We made the decision to take over at a very difficult time for Atromitos, but we were not afraid for a moment, as we were confident that we would achieve our goals, because of the excellent roster we had and we did not want to change it, but also because of the people who “run ” daily for this group.

We want to thank the president, Mr. Spanos, the technical director, Mr. Yiannis Angelopoulos for the excellent cooperation we had on a daily basis, the whole team, coaches, trainers, doctors, physiotherapists and of course the players, who without them the team wouldn’t have achieved some of the great wins we had during the season.

Today’s development is included in the decisions we are asked to make as professionals and of course I want to thank the management for understanding this situation. Atromitos and I may have been together for a short time, but it was an intense and emotional time and of course I will forever remain a fan of the team.
