Douglas Luiz: “Nothing is over, we didn’t deserve to lose with that score”

by

Statements ahead of Olympiakos’ rematch against Aston Villa did the midfielder of the English team, Douglas Louiseexpressing the belief that his team can pull off the upset against the “red and whites” to qualify for this year’s Conference League grand final.

“A win at Brighton can give us a boost. I think we played very well, in my opinion we were outstanding. However, we conceded four goals and we must not concede a goal in the second leg and win by at least two goals. Of course, the game is not over. We can come back stronger. We didn’t deserve to lose with this score and we will try to turn it around”he said initially, while then he talked about the penalty he took and the one he missed, in the first semi-final against Olympiakos.

“I’m not happy with the penalty. I saw the footage and my transgression was clear. Then I also missed our own penalty. I am confident. I’ve hit six penalties, this is the first one I’ve missed but that’s football. I’m not happy but I have to clear my head and focus on the Premier League. We are happy because Tottenham lost (i.e. Chelsea last Thursday)”.
