Greek police officials are in Belgium to have meetings with UEFA security officials about the measures to be taken at the Conference League final at the OPAP ARENA, as SKAI reported in a report.
“In the last 24 hours, two top officers of the Greek Police, the General Police Director of Attica and the Head of the North-Eastern Attica Police Directorate, have been in Belgium. These are the two officers who are responsible for the implementation plan of the final measures”said in the report Yannis Souliotis on its main news bulletin SKAI and continued:
“They are there to have meetings with UEFA security officials. Their meeting will take place on the sidelines of Bruges’ match against Fiorentina, for the same event. The first ones will be discussed there“, he emphasized.
“There is also a movement because of the Euros in Germany and the Olympics in Paris, and all this comes at a time when jihadists in April had threatened terrorist attacks during international sporting events, with French police planning emergency measures against the duration of the summer Olympic Games and corresponding measures for Germany to plan for the Euro. In the past period, similar meetings have been held in Greece with the participation of the anti-terrorist and the National Intelligence Service, which is expected to be repeated immediately after the return of the two Greek officers to Greece”concluded.
