“The Portuguese national team has a very strong team, it is one of the best national teams in the world. However, I had become emotionally attached to Roma, its fans and the city. Furthermore, stressing that he likes challenges, he added: “The two European finals with Roma was a very difficult achievement, as was the Europa League final I went to with Manchester United. Both of these teams were having a lot of trouble when I went, but I like challenges. But sometimes they expect me to win trophies with teams that aren’t the strongest, and I think that’s unfair.”.
