This year’s winning of the championship, and in fact for the third consecutive season, seems to have completed a long and successful cycle of the Women’s volleyball department Panathinaikou.
And this is because the “greens” will line up in the new season with a renewed roster, as, on Thursday afternoon, Erasitechnis Panathinaikos announced thatas six female athletes are past from the club.
The reason for Kenia Karkases, Sheridan Atkinson, Maria Genitsaridis, Ilioni Kelesidi, Sofia Vasilantonaki and Theodora Fumaki, whom he thanked for their contribution to the team!
Panathinaikos’ announcement in detail:
“The Panathinaikos Athletic Club announces the termination of its cooperation with six athletes in the women’s volleyball division.
Panathinaikos celebrated winning the 27th championship in the women’s volleyball division (which was also the third in a row) and undoubtedly every athlete had their contribution to this achievement.
The Association warmly thanks: Kenia Karkases, Sheridan Atkinson, Maria Jenitsaridis, Ilioni Kelesidis, Sofia Vasilantonakis and Theodora Fumakis for their contribution and wishes them well in their competitive careers”.
