by

The first European final of the 2023/24 season is underway tonight (22:00, Cosmote Sport 1) at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, with Atalanta to face her Leverkusen with a prize of his cup Europa League.

The Bergamaskis are looking for the first European trophy in their history, while the “aspirins” are looking for the second and first since 1988, both coming from super years.

His team Gian Piero Gasperini managed to return to the Champions League having grabbed a place in the top five of Serie A and is looking to finally celebrate a title, having lost the Coppa Italia against Juventus a week ago.

On the other hand, Bayer is in the best phase of its entire history. His omadara Xabi Alonso won the Bundesliga title for the first time and even did it undefeated, at the same time being able to do an unbeaten treble!

Leverkusen’s players simply refuse to lose and count this year 51 matches without defeatwith the German Cup final against Kaiserslautern to follow…

To get this far, the Italians topped a group with Sporting Lisbon, Sturm Graz and Rakow, then knocked out… Sporting, Liverpool and Marseille in order.

Leverkusen made fun of the group with Qarabag, Molde and Hacken, to fly out of the institution in the knockouts of the Azeri, West Ham and Roma.

Gasperini is called upon to manage the all-important absence of the captain De Ronwho is injured, with Alonso on the other hand not certain to use the player from the start Wirtz.

The match will be refereed by the Romanian Istvan Kovacs, who also refereed the 2022 Conference League final between Roma and Feyenoord.
