Tholo left his future to AEK The Nordin Amrabad. The Dutch-Moroccan midfielder spoke to “ESPN” and when asked about the next stage of his career, he did not clarify things.

According to what was said by Amrabad, he already has in his hands a renewal proposal for another year from the Union, but he does not know if he will accept it and within the next week he will respond. This happens because he has been away from the Netherlands for 13.5 years and thinks that the time has probably come for him to return to his homeland.

At the same time, the experienced midfielder said that he has been approached by teams from the Netherlands, Italy and the Middle East, but he will wait before making a decision, as he misses his family and friends.

“I let it happen to me, I have different options. I can renew with AEK who want me to stay at least one more year. But I also have some options in the Netherlands. I have already spoken to one club and one more team wants to speak with me. There is also something in Serie A, but it is still not concrete, and there is still something in the Middle East. I will see how it is with my family. I have been abroad for many years, so you miss your family and friends. But I’ll have to make a list of pros and cons and then decide.”he originally told ESPN.

As he added, within the coming week he is expected to convey his final decision to AEK: “I am closer to returning to the Netherlands. I left here in 2011. That’s about 13.5 years. It’s the right time to come back. I still feel good and I’m hungry. At least that’s what I think. If you come to the Netherlands you will have to show it. I will make my decision within the next week. I want to have it clear within two weeks because I don’t want to wait too long. I want to prepare from the beginning and start the season like this. In Holland I could play anywhere, it’s open.”

At the same time, he was asked to comment on the fact that despite turning 37 years old, he continues at a high level, making 39 appearances this year with the yellow and black in all competitions with six goals and eight assists. “As long as I’m fit I’ll continue as long as possible. If I start and fall I will stop. But as long as things are going well and I’m still having fun, I’ll keep playing football.”Amrabad pointed out.

It now remains to be seen what decision the 37-year-old Dutch-Moroccan winger will make, who thinks the same every summer, but in the end remains at AEK. This time, based on his statements, his decision may be made a little earlier compared to last year and the year before when his stay was decided with the preparation of AEK in the Netherlands in progress.
