Karditsa renewed with Papanikolopoulos

Nikos Papanikolopoulos remains at the “helm” of Karditsa. Thessalian KAE announced the renewal of its cooperation with the Greek coach for the next year, after the team’s comfortable stay in the Stoiximan Basket League last season.

In detail, the announcement:

“AS Karditsas JAPONIKI announces the renewal of the cooperation for the 2024-25 season with the first coach Nikos Papanikolopoulos.

The 45-year-old coach took over the team in January 2023 in the middle of that season and managed to lead it to the upset, achieving a marginal and agonizing stay in the Basket League. Last year 2023-24, despite the great difficulties due to the flood at the start of the season and the seven consecutive away games, the team showed a very competitive face both in the rest of the regular season and in the play outs, reaching a very comfortable staying in the category, thus ensuring the presence of the team for the third consecutive season at the highest level of the Basket League.

Expanding the partnership with Mr. Papanikolopoulos was a key priority for the team’s management, which appreciated his work, ethos and professionalism. The completion of the renewal agreement also marks the beginning of the implementation of the game planning for the new, very demanding season of the Basket League which will begin in October.
