The almost tragic fate of the Euro final three years ago in London seems not to have been a lesson for the English authorities. In his final Champions League at “Wembley” several incidents occurred and security measures proved insufficient, as a result of which there 53 arrests.
First of all, before the cross there was an attempt by dozens of fans to make trespassing without tickets, which was dismissed without further consequence. However, at the conclusion of the match and in view of the award, one a large number of fans succeeded and forcibly invaded the stadium without tickets. There were clashes with the police and several arrests were made.
Even during the match, however, not everything went smoothly, as in the first minutes we had stoppage of the match for intrusion of persons into the field of playwhile in the halftime break the Dortmund fans lit dozens of torches who-unknown how-they managed to get into the stands.
All this despite the fact that over 2,000 police officers had been recruited to guard the final.
