The Greek-German George Syrianos takes on an expanded role in his teams Vangelis Marinakisas reported by Athletic.
The 34-year-old will take on the role of global technical director, with his main work in Nottinghambut will also collaborate with Olympic and the Rio Avewhich is under the control of the same owner.
“Nottingham Forest have recognized the importance of Giorgos Syrianos to the club by promoting him to the role of global technical director. Syrianos will not only play an important role at Forest, but will help shape the development of Evangelos Marinakis’ other two clubs – Rio Ave and Europa Conference League winners Olympiakos. Sirianos, who joined Forest in charge from Stuttgart in May 2021, was instrumental in identifying the transfer targets that helped Forest win promotion from the Championship under Steve Cooper in 2022“, the publication states.
Giorgos Syrianos was born in Stuttgart in 1989. His career began as a chief analyst in the team of his hometown, from February 2016 until June 2021 when he moved to Nottingham Forest.
