Nikos Karavanos competed in the 92 kg of Freestyle wrestling at the U17 European Championship, he performed a unique course and will claim the gold medal on Sunday!
The Greek champion faced the Hungarian Yusef Soliman in the round of 16. In a demanding match, Karavanos made a great effort and reached a 6-6 draw, which gave him the qualification. In the final seconds, Soliman made it 8-6, but Karavanos tied it again and took a big win for the quarterfinals.
There he faced Azero Farhad and destroyed him. In the matches for the quarterfinals, he was determined to qualify and left no room for Azero. Karavanos was in front of the score for most of the match and in the end celebrated the victory with the final 6-4.
