Many sports fans, among them small children, crammed into a small space causing them to exist minor injuries and faintingwhile the lens captured several young children crying in terror from the panicked images.
A number of people who had paid a hefty ticket to watch the game either stayed outside the stadium or entered it after a long delay, and then police officers were checking inside the stands to find out who didn’t have a ticket, in order to remove them and avoid overcrowding in the stadium. The game finally started 82 minutes after the scheduled cross and ended without a problem, but the dangers created and the chaos caused showed that the Americans will have a lot to fix ahead of the World Cup in two years.
