The 49-year-old technician stated that “Emotions are mixed. On the one hand I managed to save my family, on the other hand we left everything behind. It is difficult to be happy at such a time. I have a great bond with Ukraine, I lived there. Obviously it’s a relief, but it cost me to leave so many people behind.

The journey was difficult, not only for what we saw, but because it was long in duration, non-stop and always with a sense of danger.

The traffic was endless, there was no petrol or food at the stations. I have no words to describe what is happening in Ukraine, the people there are suffering but fighting hard to defend their homeland. I saw long lists of people who want to go and fight. Many celebrities are gone, what is happening is unique. It will be difficult, but I think they have already won the war.

I forgot that there is football these days. I want to be back sometime, maybe next season. “But honestly, if there’s one thing I haven’t thought about these days, it’s football.”
