Angelopoulos on Slukas: “We never discredited him – The statement he made is illogical”

The statements made by Kostas Slukas after the last final of the basketball championship were asked to be commented on by the Angelopoulos brothers in the presentation of Sasha Vezenkov.

“Now we are here for Sasha,” said Giorgos Angelopoulos initially and continued:

“We talk a little, maybe it’s because of the mistakes that are written… When we have something to say, we say it. Olympiacos gave everything to Slukas, we took him as a kid from Mantoulidis… I think the statement he made was completely out of logic. Maybe he’s confused. I expected him to have apologized by now. He came to a meeting late through his own fault. We talked for four hours in a good atmosphere, after 1-2 days he left, then he declared that respect was inspired towards us and since then there has been no further contact. Now how can he say that he had no respect… I imagine he will regret it”, said one of the owners of KAE Olympiacos.

Then Panagiotis Angelopoulos spoke:

“We never discredited Sluka to make such a statement. He offered to Olympiacos, he is part of the history of Olympiacos. He is demeaning himself by making such statements and discrediting his own history. We didn’t say anything about him, in all the games he came to, nothing special happened, he just made provocative moves towards the people of Olympiakos. He made a professional choice, he belittles himself with such statements.”
