The 26-year-old American, 2.08m tall, is graduate of Richmond Collegein which he had 14 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3 assists in 27.5 minutes per game and a total of 161 appearances (152 as a starter).
He may not have been selected in the 2022 draft, but struggled to earn a spot in the NBA, first through Summer League with the Hawks and then signing a non-guaranteed contract with the Nuggets, where he played only in their affiliate. In 32 matches in G-League in 2022/23 he had an excellent presence with 17.3 points (54.8% shooting), 10.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 34.3 minutes per game.
Then he crossed the Atlantic and in the last season he played in Italy with Cremona (where Sakota knows him from) averaging 9.4 points (59.9% from 2-point range, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists) in 22.6 minutes in 29 appearances.
