Prometheus: Announced the return of Luntzis after three years

Michalis Lountzis was born on August 4, 1998 and in a few days he will turn 26. He is 1.98 tall and competes in positions “1” and “2”. This is a player with a great resume, as he is international with the national team in all age categories, while he was an active member of the Greek National Team in the recent Pre-Olympic Tournament. He started his career with Panathinaikos, where he played for three years (2014-2017), debuting in the Basket League at the age of just 16. He then played for one year in Trikala (2017-18), two years in Lavrio (2018-20), before becoming a resident of Patras for the first time, on behalf of Prometheus, in the 2020-21 season. He was a member of Makis Giatras’ team, which won the Super Cup and reached the final of the Greek Cup, with a decisive contribution and a very good presence, counting 7.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists, at the age of only 22. making a big competitive step up with the “oranges”. After that outstanding year, Lountzis played for three years at Olympiakos (2021-24). With the “red and whites”, the Greek guard won 2 championships, 2 Super Cups, 3 Greek Cups, while he competed in three Euroleague Final 4s. In the last season with Piraeus, Lountzis averaged 16 minutes in the Basket League, having 5.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
