The Eastern Attica team announced the extension of its partnership with the Greek guard, who last year averaged 8.2 points in 27 games in the Stoiximan Basket League.

“KAE Lavrio is pleased to announce the continuation of the cooperation with Vassilis Muratos, who remains with the team for the 2024-2025 season as well!
The Greek point guard has associated his name with all of Lavrio’s competitive successes throughout his career in the Stoiximan Basket League.
Today, the option to renew his contract for next year was activated and now Vassilis Mouratos is aiming to become the longest serving player in the team’s history.
The 27-year-old international point guard came to Lavrio in 2019, stayed until 2022 and at the end of 2023 he returned… home for the second half of the season, helping the team to achieve its goals with relative ease.
“This is what I wanted from the beginning. To stay in the team and enjoy basketball and that’s why it was a completely normal development for me to stay. I don’t need to say again what Lavrio means to me. This is shown by my actions and those of the people in the team. Everyone knows that here we have created lifelong relationships, beyond basketball. I wanted to stay and help in the effort to create a competitive team that will go into every game to claim victory. Nothing less, nothing more”, pointed out Vassilis Mouratos and added: “The championship will be particularly difficult, competitive. All the teams have improved, serious moves are being made and we, for our part, should be ready at all levels to enter the competition strongly».
