AEK women’s polo with Akritides

by

Konstantinos Akritidis will be the coach of the AEK women’s polo team in the new season. The Amateur Union announced the hiring of the Greek technician, who was Marko Misic’s assistant last season.

In detail, the announcement:

“AEK is pleased to announce the start of its collaboration with Konstantinos Akritides, who takes over the technical leadership of the club’s women’s polo team.

Konstantinos Akritidis was assistant coach, under Marko Misic, last season, and now takes over as head coach of the ‘two-headed’ team. In the past, he had sat on the bench of Aris Kalamata and Aris Nikaia.

After the formalization of the agreement, Konstantinos Akritidis said to aek.gr: “I am in the pleasant and at the same time demanding position of taking over the club’s women’s water polo team in a difficult period of time, in the midst of changes. It is a great honor for me to have the confidence of the President, Mr. Alexiou, and the administration to give me the ‘keys’ to the team, so that we can create something right and innovative in AEK.

The season will be very difficult, but, always believing in the best, we will try to achieve our goal. I wish all athletes and coaches of all teams good health and a good season.

Finally, I would like to wish good success to our National teams who are at the Olympic Games in Paris.”

Constantine, good luck.”
