Conference League: Qualifiers for Paphos and Omonia, AEK Larnaca eliminated – All results

The 2nd qualifying round of the Conference League has been completed, with our country’s representative in this year’s event, AEK, comfortably overcoming the obstacle of Inter Escaldes from Andorra.

“Rich” racing action in the stadiums of Europe, with 37 games to be held on Thursday (1/8). As far as the Cypriot teams are concerned, the Paphos prevailed 3-0 at home against the Lithuanian Zalgiris, overturning a 2-1 loss from the first match and qualifying, while in the next round the Concord, defeating Torpedo Kutaisi in Georgia (2-1, 5-2 overall score). On the other hand, AEK Larnaca disappointed against Hungarian side Paksi, losing 2-0 at home and going out 5-0 on aggregate.

From the rest of the matches, comfortable qualifiers were celebrated Broadby, St. Gallen, Legia Warsaw, Cluj, Ghent and Copenhagenwhile exclusion-shock was experienced by Maccabi Haifain the penalty shootout from Sambah of Azerbaijan, effectively paying for last week’s heavy defeat, 3-0.
