KAE Olympiacos: Requested the possibility of reselling seats for season holders

An innovative initiative was taken by KAE Olympiacosas he has been in touch with the government so that season ticket holders can resell their seats for games they won’t be attending.

Specifically, there was communication between Olympiakos and the Ministers of Sports and Digital Governance Ms. Vroutsis and Papastergiou in order to enact a law that will concern professional sports and will give the possibility for season ticket holders to resell their seat for the matches that have decided not to go to the stadium to see their team. This has been happening for many years abroad, but it does not happen in Greece because the legal framework does not exist.

KAE Olympiacos has designed how this can be done through a special platform and the whole process will be carried out by the official sales channel of each team in collaboration with the cooperating ticketing company (Ticketmaster) very directly, very easily and with absolute security.

Such a development it will benefit all sides, the state, PAE and KAE, season holders and fans, while at the same time the phenomenon of the black market of tickets by third party unofficial and authorized ticket resale platforms which charge exorbitant amounts will be combated. Alongside, the value of the season ticket will increase for its holder, while he will have a significant reward in the event that his position is resold to a new buyer. THE reward mode it can be determined by KAE/PAE and it can for example be a system of collecting points which are translated into credit for the purchase of the season ticket of the following season or a refund of some amount to the season ticket holder.

Both Ministries are positive to this proposal, especially after the latest changes to the entire ticket identification process through gov. It is very likely that this plan will be implemented from this year.
