Qualification lead for Omonia – Defeat for Paphos in Sofia

Qualifying lead for the Conference League Playoffs was taken by Concord.

The Cypriot team prevailed 1-0 welcoming her Fehervar in the first game between them for the 3rd qualifier, with Stepinski scoring in the 60th minute.

On her part for the same round, h Paphos was defeated 2-1 at its headquarters CSKA Sofia. In fact, Juan Carcedo’s team was the one who took the lead, just in the 10th minute with their former midfielder AEK, Muamer Tankovic. Nevertheless, the hosts reacted and turned it around with the goals of Ilievski (29′) and Tallis (51′).

In any case, of course, it is a result that, in view of the rematch, allows the “pioneer” Paphos to claim for the first time in its history its qualification (and) to the Playoffs of the competition.

It is recalled that, earlier, Ruzoberok and Hajduk (with the winner of the pair facing the AEK-Noa counterpart in the Playoffs) were tied 0-0 in Slovakia.
