Her hearing was completed on Wednesday afternoon (02/03) appeal of PAS Giannina against the first instance decision of the Super League disciplinary, who punished the PAE by deducting 5 points and a fine of 100,000 euros and the major shareholder, George Christovasilis with 20,000 euros, for violating the regulation regarding the transfer of shares.
PAS was represented by Ms. Sevastopoulou and Mr. Lazanis, with the former developing the grounds of appeal. In addition, an opinion was presented by the professor of administrative law of the University of Athens, Mr. Lazaratou, which justifies the PAE in a specific aspect of the case.
On the other hand, Mr. Lazanis focused on the statute of limitations of the case and developed the regime of transfer of shares and the way it is done in Greece. He also referred to legal “jumps” included in the first instance decision and read specific points of the first instance decision that the judge self-annuls in what he mentions in his reasoning.
The Epirotes submitted a request for the decision to be issued before the ratification of the championship, something that is expected to take place on Wednesday, March 9th. The possibility of the decision being made earlier is quite possible, but otherwise the club will appeal to avoid the validation of the scoreboard.
All this in case PAS has been left out of the playoffs, as if it has entered the six, the time of issue will not affect the score.
