The 2024/25 season started in the Championship, with Sheffield Wednesday to premiere on Sunday (11/08) welcoming Plymouth.
And while its fans are eager to see their team again, an announcement by the club caused reactions in the ranks of his friends and not only.
You see, the makers of Wednesday let us know how “although we can’t stop fans from wearing non-authentic jerseys away from home, we respectfully request that these products not make an appearance in Hillsborough. Anyone caught wearing a non-authentic jersey, may be asked to leave, with the competent bodies being informed”.
In short, the “Owls” are warning their fans that they should only wear authentic kits purchased by the club, with the – expected – response from fans being that the prices should be reduced – with a home appearance to cost 69 pounds and the children’s version 53…
Sheffield Wednesday have made a whole statement about fans not being allowed to wear ‘counterfeit’ shirts in the stadium…
Here’s an idea – Make the shirts affordable for an average fan.
£70 for just the basic home shirt is ludicrous. pic.twitter.com/cTZmPbckdM
