Hale: “No other club wanted me as much as AEK”

Hunter Hale made his first statements as a player of AEK Betsson BC!

The 25-year-old guard, who impressed during last season’s Prometheus jersey, spoke about his decision to continue his career at Union, while also addressing his goals for the new season, while also sending his message to friends of AEK.

For the fires that hit Attica: “I would like to wish that all the people who are suffering from the consequences of the fires are safe. My thoughts are with them and their families at this difficult time. I pray for everyone. May God give them strength”.

About the proposals he received from powerful clubs abroad, before saying “yes” to AEK: “No club – of all those who were interested in me – showed me that they wanted me as much as AEK wanted me! Regarding the role played in his transfer by the major shareholder of AEK VETSSON BC, Mr. Makis Angelopoulos: “We had a wonderful conversation in my communication with the President. For the 100th anniversary of AEK: “I know a lot obviously about the history of the club. I know that this is a milestone year that we are going through and that it means a lot for everyone. I also know that AEK has passionate fans. These fans want to rebuild a team that they can be proud of, so I want to come in and make our own history during the season.”.

For the presence of Dragan Sakota: “He is a well-travelled coach. He has had the immense respect of his colleagues and the players he has coached for years, so I am excited to learn from him and improve my game. Overall, I’m excited to learn more, both as a player and as a person.”.

His message to the world of AEK: “I hope the AEK fans will embrace me and give our team the time it needs to improve and have a great season. I want them to know that we have many goals this year. The first goal, however, is to move forward day by day. I would like them to understand that this is all a process. Playing alongside them for the first time will be a strong motivation for me. I intend to help AEK face the challenges, and as I said earlier, we need to create a team that the fans will be excited about and proud of.”.
