THE March 21st is the deadline given by the Euroleague to the three Russian teams to return to the games.
By decision of the organizing authority and following the example of all sports authorities in Europe (or worldwide), CSKA Moscow, Unix Kazan and Zenit St. Petersburg were eliminated from the Euroleague until recently due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
If by March 21 the situation does not change drastically with cessation of hostilitiesthen the Russian teams will be permanently excluded from this year ‘s event, all the results with them will be considered as non – occurring for the other teams and the score will be formed accordingly.
According to a decision of the Euroleague, any postponed match must be held by April 14th, as then the start of the playoffs is scheduled and the calendar is suffocatingly loaded. The regular season ends on schedule on April 7-8.
The corresponding deadline applies to Russia’s representative in the Eurocup (held under the auspices of the Euroleague), Lokomotiv Kuban.
