“Athens Kallithea FC announces the signing of Bosnian wingback Nemanja Nikolic on a free transfer.
Nikolic, 23, is a former Bosnia minor international who joined Olympiakos aged 19 and spent four seasons at the club, where he had several loan spells before a spell at Olympiakos B before joining Chania in Super League 2, where he was a key player for the team last season.
Born in Zvornki, Bosnia, Nikolic rose through FK Sarajevo’s academy before making his debut in Bosnia’s first division with FK Mladost aged 18, making 19 league appearances in his first season with the club, a run which saw him secured a transfer to Olympiakos the following summer, in August 2019.
After three loan spells – to Radnicki Nis of the Serbian top division and a return to Mladost in the 2019/20 season, then to Chania in Super League 2 in the 2020/21 season – Nikolic played for two full seasons at Olympiakos B, making 42 appearances with two goals in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons.
Last summer, Nikolic returned to Chania on a regular transfer, making 19 appearances in total with three goals and two assists, helping the team finish second in the Super League 2 league.
As an international, Nikolic has represented Bosnia with the national teams from the U-15 to U-21 level.
