New era on his bench APOEL. The Cypriot team after the unexpected end with David Gaiego was in search of a technician and turned to his case Jose Dominguezwho signed a contract until May 2025.
The 50-year-old was APOEL’s assistant last season and now comes to be the first coach, having played in Portugal, Turkey, Colombia and Spain.
In detail, the APOEL announcement:
“The company APOEL FOOTBALL (PUBLIC) LTD announces the cooperation agreement with the coach Jose Manuel Martins Dominguez. The collaboration is for one year, until May 2025.
Jose Dominguez served as our team’s assistant coach during the 2023-2024 season. He is very familiar with the existing roster and arrives in Cyprus tomorrow, to take immediate charge of the team’s training ahead of the UEFA Europa League Playoffs second leg against RFS.
Mr. Dominguez is 50 years old and in addition to Cyprus he was a coach in Portugal, Turkey, Colombia and Spain.
The full coaching staff will be announced at a later date.
