Yurtseven: “I can’t wait to work with Sluka again – Let’s become back to back European champions”

Regarding how important Ergin Ataman’s presence on the “clover” bench was for him, Yurtseven was clear: “It’s really, really important to me. He is an excellent coach. In the past I had worked with him in the National Team. He erased a particularly successful course with Efes, while he also did a terrible job at Panathinaikos. I look forward to working together again.”

As for whether he spoke to Ergin Ataman about his transfer? “We talked even after my signing. He congratulated me and told me that I deserved to be in the European champions. It was something very important to me”commented.

To a question regarding what he knows about Panathinaikos AKTOR, he answered that: “I know it is one of the biggest teams in Europe with many titles and a glorious history. I promise to learn everything in more detail upon my arrival in Greece. Beyond that, I know about the fans who support the team with particular fervor. I have watched several videos where they are jumping and shouting in the stands creating an incredible atmosphere. I can’t wait to experience it up close…».

Omer Yurceven expressed his eagerness to meet Kostas Sluka again: “We had worked together in Fenerbahce. Of course, many years have passed, I was a child then. This is an amazing point guard. I look forward to working together again”he noted.
