The New City Hall of Patras opens its doors on Wednesday (04/09) at 19:45 to welcome the city’s top athletes.
Twenty-seven (27) Olympic athletes of swimming, polo, boxing, tae kwon do, cycling, sailing, kiteboarding, and archery as well as one (1) small kendo athlete will be honored by the Mayor of Patreon, Costas Peletidisfor the great international successes they recorded in international Games (Balkan, European and World level) in the last two years (2023-2024), for their contribution to sports and their morals.
The event will also honor the memory of the deceased weightlifting champion Artemis Theriakis.
Regarding the event, the Mayor pointed out: “We are happy to welcome to the New City Hall the ambassadors of Patraic sports, in whose name we honor the thousands of athletes of our city».
The event, which, as emphasized by Deputy Mayor Takis Petropoulos“it is the largest in scope and splendor that has ever been done in the wider region“, edited by the Vice-Mayor of Sports, Environment, Energy and Greenery and the Press and Printing Offices of the Municipality of Patreon.
At the time of each athlete’s award, footage of their successes will be shown.
The event will be moderated by the journalist Prokopis Kogos.
