Speaking to the SportsPodcast and journalist Argyro Giannoudakis, the athlete spoke about the phenomena of sexual harassment experienced by female athletes, also referring to an incident that targeted her, in her teens, by a sports agent.

“I was shocked, it became public, I never expected it. It was a man, many years older than me (…) I asked him if I am dirty and he replied I don’t want to touch you“, adding a lewd comment about her body.

As he said, “gymnasts generally don’t talk“, adding that the usual response they get is: “It’s your choice to be there.” This results, she says, in “apologizing” to the athletes instead of the abusers. The circle “is small, everyone knows everyone».
