The president of SEGAS, Sofia Sakorafa, who is running for re-election to the presidential position of the Athletics Federation, commented on the two nominations, saying: “I welcome the nominations of Tasoula Kelesidou and Katerina Koffa to represent SEGAS in the EOE with great pleasure as a regular and substitute member respectively. Both have marked a huge path in Greek sports with many distinctions. They raised the Greek flag high and distinguished themselves not only with their performances, but also with their morals and dignity.

Both with Tasoula and with Katerina, we have strong ties of friendship and mutual respect and I am sure that, if elected, they will show the due respect for the Olympic ideals, they will promote the values that Greek classical sports advocates and they will vigorously promote the positions of our Federation in the plenary session of the EOE”.
