PAE AEK announces the acquisition of football player Anthony Martial. The international French striker signed a contract with our team until the summer of 2027.

After completing his transfer, the 28-year-old ace told aekfc.gr: “I am very happy. AEK is an opportunity for me and I will give my best to achieve things, win trophies and bring joy to the world of the team.”

Anthony Martial was born on December 5, 1995 in Massy, ​​France. At the age of 8 he joined the infrastructure departments of the local Ouli and six years later Lyon decided to acquire him. In his first season with the U17s, he scored 32 goals in 21 matches, while also making four appearances with the first team until the summer of 2013, when at the age of 17, Monaco spent €5 million to sign him.

With the Principality team, he made 70 appearances over the next two years, scoring 15 goals. In the summer of 2015, the biggest step of his career followed, as on the last day of transfers Manchester United spent almost 60 million euros including bonuses to make him theirs. The amount was a record in Premier League history for a player under the age of 20.

At United, Martial’s career took off. He made 317 appearances (90 goals, 47 assists) over the next nine years, with a six-month loan spell at Sevilla in the second half of the 2021-22 season (12 appearances, 1 goal, 1 assist).
