Mantzios: “The game against Olympiakos is a guide for us, we are going for the victory in Toumba”

Declarations in view of the great Sunday derby in Thessaloniki, made by the coach of Aris, Akis Manzios.

The coach of the “yellows” focused on the elevated psychology that exists in the ranks of his team after the two consecutive victories from which he comes, he described the game against Olympiakos as a guide for him and his players, while he made it clear that Aris will go to Toumba with his only goal being victory.

What Aris’ coach said in detail:



On the psychological boost given to his team by consecutive victories: “They were both very important victories indeed. We reacted to the match against Olympiakos and to games like this one against Ethnikos, the first thing you look at in these types of games is to get the job done… We put these two results behind us and are preparing for the derby with PAOK”.

For the derby with PAOK: “It is a game, which is purely a matter of day for each team, mood and will to win. We are playing against a very good opponent, a very good team, as we saw in their last European game. Each team will put the elements they have to be able to make their own game. We for our part cannot change many things in terms of our mind and mentality. Our goal is victory and we are going to claim it”.

On whether the appearance with Olympiakos is a guide for the derby with PAOK: “Yes, this match is a guide for us. We performed very well, with a continuation of our good performance in that match, so it cannot but be our guide for the match against PAOK. It’s an image we want to maintain and develop and become even better in the future.”.

For Darinda and Quaison: “We also have new guys in terms of our attacking part, who give us help. We need more things, because we have more room for improvement, that’s the truth. Quason is a very good player. He wants his time, but always a good football player brings competition to the team. So this will be to our advantage”.
