Limniatis: “I want to do justice to being the only team with five foreigners by choice”

His coach Peristeriou he talked about the many changes made to his team’s roster ahead of the new season, while he spoke about his team’s choice to be the only one with five foreigners on its roster, but also his desire to give his young players a lot of time, such as the Zougris, Avdalas and Stavrakopoulos.

“They don’t have any particular concern for the new season, but rather a concern. Only three players remained from last year’s team. What I want is at the end of the next one to be vindicated for my plan to be the only team with five foreigners by choice. In the friendlies we have given a lot of time to young guys like Zougris, Avdalas and Stavrakopoulos. This is what I want to achieve. All the last years we have been saying that we are not producing players and that the production process is not going well in Greece. So we built a mix of young kids and experienced to make it succeed.”

“It is a given that we are playing with one of the best teams in Europe. Both Peristeri and I have great respect for Olympiacos’ coaching personality. All the coaches like him and we try to analyze how he plays. We are realistic, but no matter who you play with, you enter the court to win or to push the opponent to give their best to beat you. We have a small percentage but we will chase it to build character as a team”.
