FIBA’s cooperation with the EBU: On free channels the national teams for another four years

Basketball fans across Europe will have unprecedented free access to premium men’s and women’s national team events with a new broadcast partnership signed by FIBA ​​and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

Starting in November 2025, the four-year agreement will cover the public television, radio and digital platforms of 19 EBU members in Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.

EBU members will broadcast live and for free every game played by their national teams. For major competitions, live broadcast rights also include selected group stage, quarter-final and semi-final matches – along with the final.

EBU members will provide broadcast services for home games in the ??Basketball World Cup ??2027 qualifiers, FIBA ​​??EuroBasket 2029, the men’s and women’s Pre-Olympic tournaments and the FIBA ​​Women??s World Cup qualifiers in 2026.
