The match was ambiguous in its first minutes, with Patton scoring two consecutive baskets and putting Peristeri ahead 6-4, while Eddy made the first three-pointer of the match, making it 9-6. Despite picking up his two personal fouls early, Patton continued to star both defensively and offensively for the home team, which he put at +5 (13-8) for the first time. With the match becoming a big derby, the two teams had a lot of difficulty scoring, while Peristeri only scored with shots in the first five minutes of the fourth period, before Coffey came to make it 70-66 with a foul basket! At that point in the match, Panionios seemed to be running out of strength, with Peristeri going on a streak, eventually winning 82-72.
