Pursuant to the provisions of the “Holistic Study” of FIFA / UEFA and the new Articles of Association, the Executive Committee of the EPO on Tuesday elected the members of the newly established Committee on Audit, Governance and Compliance.
It is an independent committee with a very important role as it monitors the operation of the EPO in matters of good governance, compliance and risk management, while it will be responsible for organizing and supervising the electoral process of the federation. The members of the Commission are personalities of prestige, with complete independence in the exercise of their duties.
The EPO elected them by secret ballot and they are the following:
Bitzouni Dionysia (President): Honorary Areopagite, graduate of the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with postgraduate studies at the School of European Studies “Alcide de Gasperi”, in Law and Law (University of Rome “La Sapienza”) and at the Penitentiary La Sapienza »). He entered the judiciary in 1981, was president of the Court of First Instance, president of the Court of Appeals and Areopagitis until 2021 when he retired. In the period 2020-2021 he was also president of the Arbitration Court of the EPO.
Bourbos Nikolaos (Vice President): Lawyer at the Supreme Court, graduate of the Law School of the University of Athens. He has served as a legal advisor to large companies, while as a lawyer he has adjudicated important cases.
Vasilikos Dimitris (Member): Graduate of the School of Business Administration, Departments of Organization and Business Administration and Accounting and Finance of the University of Macedonia. He has worked in important companies in the financial sector, has collaborated with the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and has developed significant activity in the field of energy saving.
Lalas Christos (Member): Economist, Accountant-Tax Technician, graduate of the Department of Economics of the University of Macedonia. Among other things, he has been involved in development programs and has been a member of development companies.
Stergiou Konstantinos (Member): Doctor of Pedagogy of the University of Western Macedonia. Graduate of the Department of Economics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with postgraduate studies in Education at the University of Western Macedonia and Master of Arts from the Limerick Institute of Technology, Ireland. He teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the Pedagogical Department of the University of Western Macedonia, has taught in Secondary Education and also works as an economist. He has a rich scientific and academic work with publications in scientific journals and conferences, has extensive experience as an instructor of European Programs, while he is also the head of the European Information Center – Europe Direct Western Macedonia.
*The Executive Committee of the EPO decided to hold the draw for the promotion play offs in the Superleague 2 and the Third National, on Tuesday 22.03.2022 in a hotel room in Athens and to be broadcast live via livestreaming.
