Fournier: “Bartzokas Basketball for me is: Team first, discipline on defense and flexibility on offense.”

For the Bartzokas Basketballfor Olympiakos, but also for his first contact with Greece, was mentioned by Evan Fournier on the show “Pick n’ roll”.

The French star revealed that when he was young he liked Greek mythology and wanted to become one archaeologist. However, in his life came the basketballwhich he fell in love with and eventually became involved with.

“My first contact with Greece was Greek mythology. I liked stories and wanted to be an archaeologist. I wanted to study dinosaurs.”

And why did you change your mind? “I started studying basketball and fell in love with the game.”

Did you have a favorite hero from Greek mythology? “Like everyone else I liked Hercules and Perseus. Their stories were the most common.”

Do you remember your first contact with Greek basketball? “Yes, it was a children’s tournament. With Greece, France, Spain, Italy. Our last game was against Greece, if I’m not mistaken we lost by two or three points. We were playing with Italy, on the border with Slovenia. I also remember the names of three players from Greece. Chrysikopoulos, Mavroyiannis and Antonakis”.

The French superstar then referred to souvlaki that he tried when he first came to Greece, but also at the barber shop he went to. Of course, he talked about Olympiakos, about Fal and Giorgos Bartzokas.
