Giorgos Louloudas on the third step of the podium at the Jiu-Jitsu world championship

Another medal, the 8th in total, was won by Greece on the 4th day of the Men’s – Women’s World Championships. This came from Giorgos Louloudas at -77k contact, where he climbed to the third step of the podium.

In the semi-final of the event he faced Alisher Azigitov of Kazakhstan in the semi-final. He was beaten on penalties and missed out on a chance to claim gold, but took the bronze medal.

This is the 8th medal for Greece (3 silver, 5 bronze) and there is one more day left to complete this Men’s – Women’s World Championship.

“It is one of the biggest events that take place in our country, with athletes at a very high level. And well done to the federation for organizing it so well. Awe and thrill to wear a medal on your chest in a world championship. May the rest of the athletes who come experience it too. I’m sure they will succeed” said the Greek champion.

Tomorrow, the organization in the Men’s – Women’s categories ends, with 14 Greek appearances, before the new generations take over, with the World Championships U21, U18, U16, as well as the World Cup U14.
